Why a Safety Consultation Service is Important:
It does not matter how small or big a company is. There are two ways a company decides when to start managing its safety program properly: before or after a big problem arises.
Before facing the problems: outdated safety program that could lead to expensive OSHA citations; having above average employee accidents/injuries or a fatality.
After a big problem has araised: Usually in this stage it needs to be fixed while the company is dealing with higher production costs (e.g. citations, higher insurance costs, etc.),and sometimes lawyers and goverment inspections.
We also understand that in small and medium size companies, sometimes supervisors do not have the time to take care of all the tasks that a safety program requires. Our experience tells us that usually supervisors have been trained to, and are good at, problem solving, especially the ones that have been pointed out. That is where our consultants come in, because we are trained to detect safety and compliance related problems, we present the issue to the supervisor/manager and it gets solved. That is why our services are so effective.
It is not recommended that your company waits to find out if its in compliance. In order to prepare our clients for an OSHA inspection, we recommend setting up a “mock” OSHA inspection with one of our safety and health consultants; please contact us for more information. OSHA fines can be costly. Accredited studies show that for every $1 invested in safety, companies can expect to see a $5 to $10 return on investment.
